You’re already the friend everyone asks about vacations.

What if you took that one step further?

You know the excitement of finding the right resort, discovering a new destination, or putting together a trip everyone looks forward to. If sharing that excitement comes naturally to you, travel advising could be worth exploring.

At StoryBound Vacations, we welcome people who love travel and enjoy helping others experience it. You don’t need previous experience as a travel advisor or a plan to make this your full-time career.

You might begin by helping a few people plan their vacations. You might discover you want to build a business that becomes your full-time focus. There’s room for both, with no sales minimums and no pressure to grow beyond your own goals.

Turn your interest in travel into something more.

There’s something rewarding about helping someone choose a vacation they’re genuinely excited about and knowing you helped bring the details together.

As a travel advisor, you can build on your own travel interests while developing skills in planning, customer service, and running a business. You’ll get to know your clients, understand what matters to them, and help them make informed choices.

Here are five reasons to explore it:

  • Put your travel knowledge to use. Share what you know while continuing to learn.

  • Earn commissions on eligible travel bookings. Build an income opportunity through the clients you serve.

  • Focus on travel that interests you. Develop your knowledge around destinations and experiences you enjoy.

  • Build lasting client relationships. A well-planned trip can lead to future vacations and referrals.

  • Choose your own goals. Keep your business manageable or work toward making travel your full-time career.

You don’t have to decide how far you’ll take it before you begin.

What does it take to get started?

A passion for travel is a great beginning. Being willing to learn, communicate clearly, and follow through is what helps you turn that interest into a service clients can rely on.

You’ll want to be comfortable:

  • Using a computer, phone, and internet to research and manage trip details.

  • Listening to what clients want and helping them compare their options.

  • Staying organized and responding to questions in a timely way.

  • Learning booking systems, supplier requirements, and new destinations.

  • Introducing your business to people and building relationships.

You don’t need to know everything on day one. You do need to be willing to take initiative and give each client’s vacation the attention it deserves. This is not a salaried business; it is commission-based, and clients come from your own leads.

Three specialties. Plenty of possibilities.

StoryBound Vacations specializes exclusively in Disney Destinations, Universal vacations, and Royal Caribbean cruises. If you love planning Disney days, exploring Universal, or comparing Royal Caribbean ships and itineraries, you’re in the right place. You don’t have to learn every destination in the world. Start by building your knowledge within these specialties, focusing on the vacations that interest you most. As you gain experience, you can deepen your expertise across all three.

Your first clients may be closer than you think.

Think about the people who already ask for your vacation advice. Friends, neighbors, colleagues, and people you know through your community can be a natural place to introduce your services.

Let them know what you do. Share useful travel ideas. Ask questions about the trips they’re considering, and look for opportunities to help.

Over time, thoughtful service and consistent follow-up can lead to repeat clients and referrals. Growing a travel business takes effort, but you can begin with genuine conversations and build from there.

How do you earn extra money? Where do your clients come from?

Travel advising with StoryBound Vacations is a commission-only sales opportunity. There is no salary or hourly pay. You earn commissions on eligible travel bookings, and your income depends on the business you generate.

You are responsible for your own marketing and finding your own clients. StoryBound Vacations does not provide leads.

Your personal connections, community, and social media audience can be places to begin. Let people know what you offer, share helpful travel ideas, and build relationships with people who may need your services. Thoughtful follow-up and referrals can help you grow from there.

There are no sales minimums, but earning commissions requires taking an active role in marketing your services, making sales, and caring for your clients.

Make your next chapter a StoryBound one

At StoryBound Vacations, you can come to the conversation as a beginner.

We welcome people exploring travel advising for the first time, along with those who have bigger plans for where it could lead. There are no sales minimums to meet, and you don’t have to commit to a full-time career to belong here.

If your ambition grows, your goals can grow with it. Building toward a full-time business takes time, learning, and consistent client care, but a small beginning doesn’t have to mean a small future.

Before deciding, take the time to learn about our agency, ask questions, and consider whether the opportunity fits what you want.
